THE SUNSpots

To assist schools in meeting both federal and state requirements for the provision of special education services to students with disabilities, the SUNS Center has created ‘Fact’ Sheets that address specific topics related to special education.  These Fact sheets, or SUNSpots, provide an overview of legal requirements and/or Best Practices on various aspects of special education programming.  SUNSpots are not meant to be detailed descriptions of a topic, but rather a summary of the major requirements of each topic.  They provide a ‘snapshot’ of the most important features.
